TAKING CARE OF YOUR MAT
People who touch and feel CHAM products for the first time will like it very much, but most will be concerned about how to best preserve the mats.
Preserving the mats is actually quite simple.
If you use it very often, almost every day, you don't need to worry too much. The mat carries with it life energy, so it is quite similar to who we are. If it is used regularly, it will be fine with no problems at all.
It's only when you do not use it for a certain period of time, for example - having to go on a business trip or traveling for many days - then you will need to be careful. Before leaving to go away, store your mat as follows:
-
Its recommended to store the mats in an airtight or vacumum bag, so they are not exposed to outside air. You can find these types of bags easily on e-commerce sites like Shopee.
How long after not using it should I start putting it in a bag like that?
How long it takes will depend on the season and the weather there; In the dry season, it takes longer, sometimes even a month, which is okay, but if it's in the rainy season when humidity is extremely high, sometimes it only takes 3 days and you would want to store it.
Cleaning is as simple as other types: if the mat is dry, you don't need to do anything.
If you sweat a lot when practicing, you can use a dry towel to wipe it and spread it out to dry before folding it or after practicing, just as you would any other mat.
We also recommend to leave it to dry in direct sunlight from time to time. This helps remove bacteria and odors. Afterwards you will notice the lovely natural aroma of the plant fibers will start to emerge.
If liquid is accidentally spilled on the mat, wash it with cold water, a little natural soap (or baby soap), then gently wipe down the surface of the mat, rinse with water then hang to dry.
Remember to dry it thoroughly, the mat will then be clean and fragrant again.

HOW TO HANDLE MOLD
If you are unfortunate enought to experience mold on the mat, don't rush to throw it away. Handle it in the following way:
Use a towel to wipe off the moldy surface, then wash the mat: wet the mat with lightly warm water or cold water, use natural soap or baby soap to scrub the carpet surface; then rinse with water.
After that, dry the mat thoroughly in the sun or, if the season is not sunny, dry it with a hair dryer. The mat will look like new again.
